Club Ice Policy
(As adopted by the Board of Directors, effective June 4, 2016)
Code of Conduct – Safety and Courtesy:
All skaters on The Skating Club of San Francisco (SCSF – Club) Saturday morning Club ice sessions must abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct policy and USFS Safe Sport in order to ensure an enjoyable and safe sessions.
Ice Session Times:
Club ice sessions are divided into 30-minute time slots available for advance purchase through our EntryEeze registration system for SCSF members only. Non-members may purchase sessions on a drop-in basis if space is available.
Maximum Number of Skaters per Session:
Each session is limited to a maximum of 25 skaters. Registration sign-up is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Skaters must check in with the Ice Monitor prior to skating and may skate only during the session times they have reserved. For safety reasons, all skaters must follow the directions of the ice monitor, including leaving the ice promptly when asked to do so.
There will be no refunds given for advanced registration sessions if the skater is unable to attend. If there is a waiting list for ice time, skaters with advanced registrations may have their session sold if they fail to check in within 10 minutes of their scheduled session time.
Non-members may purchase ice on a drop-in basis if space is available. They must first check in with the Ice Monitor who will advise if space is available. If space is available, then the skater must pay by cash or check for the sessions available. A guest is required to sign the Guest Log maintained by the Ice Monitor prior to taking to the ice at each session. By the signing the Guest Log, the guest agrees to abide by Club rules of ice conduct and a standard limitation of liability (‘skate at your own risk’).
Note: SCSF member skaters who are on a waiting list will have priority over non-member guests.
