The board would like to give you some more information about the SCSF annual election. We have 4 candidates vying for 3 positions that are open on the board this year. Their bios are now posted in the page linked below.
If you renewed your SCSF membership by June 30th and you are an eligible voter 18 years of age or older, you will receive an email ballot on July 7th from the Election Buddy system which we are using for this election. Parent members are allowed to vote in place of their minor Home Club children. Voting begins on July 7th at 9:00 AM and will continue through July, ending on July 31, 2022 at 5:00 PM PDT.
This year’s Nominating Committee has convened to begin preparations for the 2022 Election this July, for 3 open Board of Directors positions for which the candidates will be running. Per club bylaws, we are required to notify members of those on the committee. This year the Nominating Committee shall consist of:
|Don Corbiell||Alyssa Lewis||Rebecca Hurst|
|Committee Co-Chair||Committee Co-Chair||Committee Member|
Throughout May and June, we will be searching for candidates to run for the 3 open positions. If you are interested in running, or know of someone who is, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us. Candidates must be an adult (18 and over), a home club member of SCSF, registered with US Figure Skating, and a voting member of the club who is willing to serve. Anyone can nominate a candidate, as long as that person is willing to accept the nomination.
We’ll be happy to explain duties of directors, time commitments, or answer any other questions you may have regarding this year’s election. Let your voice be heard!
The Graduating Seniors Program was developed to recognize the achievements of those individuals graduating from high school who have made the commitment to continue their training in figure skating while pursuing their academic studies.

At the end of last May’s Governors Council meeting, longtime officials were recognized for their milestone anniversaries, including 50-year judges Theresa Fischer and Sam Singer and 50-year accountant Patricia Soanes. Congratulations, Sam!
