U.S. Figure Skating, in coordination with the local organizing committee (University of Delaware FSC) for the 2020 U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships, was informed Thursday of the decision by the State of Delaware to declare a State of Emergency and within that, implement a ban on all public gatherings of 100 persons or more effective at 8 a.m. EST today, March 13. In addition we were also informed by the University of Delaware that all facilities including the Ice Arena on the campus would be closed as of 5 p.m. EST on Thursday, March 12. These actions eliminate the possibility of the organizing committee to host the U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships and as such the event to be held April 14-18 is now canceled.
