The Graduating Seniors Program was developed by U.S. Figure Skating to recognize the achievements of those individuals graduating from high school who have made the commitment to continue their training in figure skating while pursuing their academic studies. The purpose of this program is to honor and credit those qualified graduates for their achievements during their high school years through the presentation of a certificate to the skater during a school function or recognition opportunity. To further applaud the achievements of the individuals awarded, U.S. Figure Skating will publish the names of the recipients on both the U.S. Figure Skating Graduating Seniors Program webpage, as well as in SKATING magazine.

Skating Families in Santa Rosa Need Our Help!

More than a dozen deadly wildfires are burning across California, which have forced many Santa Rosa Figure Skating Club families to leave their homes with little notice.
The fires have already scorched thousands of acres and forced thousands of people to evacuate. Well over 30,000 people have been ordered to evacuate and as many as 2,834 homes in Santa Rosa were consumed by the fires so far. In Napa County, the Tubbs and Atlas Fires are burning out of control. Several hospitals have been evacuated, thousands are without power and schools are closed. Fire officials report that as much as 400,000 square feet of commercial space in Santa Rosa alone is destroyed.

The exceptionally dry weather and high winds in California could spark additional fires, and the existing fires may spread rapidly and unpredictably. Firefighters were battling blazes in Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Yuba, Nevada, Calaveras and Butte counties.

You can help skating families affected by these wildfires by making a donation to Santa Rosa Go Fund Me at . Your gift enables skating families who belong to Santa Rosa Figure Skating Club, recover from this disaster directly. Please consider a gift of $10 or more to help our skating friends in this time of disaster.
